Winding Stair Records is excited to announce that Dolven’s long awaited second album, ‘The Tyranny of Time’ will be released on December 17, 2021. This is the band’s first new music since 2015 and will continue to push forward their melancholic, vulnerable Acoustic Doom style. Each track is a moving piece of art, dealing with love, loss, and our insignificance in this world. The band consists of H Lauer (Weather Veins, Ironwood) on vocals, Nick Wusz on guitar/vocals, JWW (Snares of Sixes, ex-Agalloch) on bass and keyboards, and Martti Hill (Barrowlands) on drums.

‘The Tyranny of Time’ is a collection of eight songs recorded in Portland, Oregon during 2019-2021. At times haunting, other times uplifting, this album will evoke stillness and contemplation in every listener.

Three unique versions of the album will be available: Dark Forest green vinyl (limited to 150 copies), CD (limited to 200 copies) featuring different artwork from the vinyl with 8-page lyric booklet, and brown-shell cassette (limited to 100 copies) with another piece of front cover art.
